History:

For those unfamiliar with ring slings, they were invented by Dr. Rayner Garner of Kaneohe, Hawaii in 1981. He and his wife believed that carrying their newborn daughter close to them as often as possible would help build a strong and nurturing bond.  The need to have an adequate and comfortable carrier to do this, led to the development and evolution of the baby sling.

When renowned pediatrician, Dr. William Sears, learned of the baby sling, he was so taken with its concept that he not only advocated its use, but also began manufacturing them in 1987. In the spirit of Dr. Garner's original vision, Aloha Baby Slings and Things continues to provide parents with a light weight, comfortable way to carry children.

Aloha Slings allow parents to carry children from birth to toddlerhood while continually strengthening the parent-child bond, remaining fashionable at the same time!
